Welcome to P.S. 62 The Chester Park School! We believe every child can succeed when they are supported, challenged, and inspired to love learning. We empower students through a rich learning journey in reading, math, and computer science, while nurturing their creativity, confidence, and curiosity. By blending strong academics with innovative technology and personalized support, we help children grow into independent learners who are ready for the future.

What Makes Us Unique

  • Magnet Programs & Enrichment: Computer Science (K–5), Robotics, Mouse Squad, Multimedia Lab, STEAM, Hydroponics, Sound Recording Studio, Debate Team, Civics Education, Student Council, Hawks Patrol, and The Hawks Studios: Gifted Arts Collective in art, music, and dance.
  • Strong Academics: A focus on the Science of Reading, student-centered mathematics, and high-quality writing instruction.
  • Extra Support for Every Child: We monitor student progress closely and provide extra help through small groups, targeted lessons, and specialized reading programs when needed.
