Nurse/ Medical Issues

Illness: Please do not send your child to school if he or she has a fever of 100 degrees or higher, with a cough or sore throat. Students kept home with flu-like symptoms should stay out of school until their symptoms are improving and their temperature is normal for at least 24 hours. They will not need a doctor’s note to return to school. Children sent home from school because of fever with cough or sore throat will not be allowed to return to school until at least one full day has passed since they were dismissed.

Medication: Children should not be given medication to bring to school or be allowed to take it on their own. If your child/student needs medication to be administered during the school day for a chronic illness, please see the nurse in Room 114 for a 504 form to take to your doctor for completion. This includes over the counter or store bought medicine.
