Ballet Tech

Ballet Tech is a scholarship program for professional Ballet training at the Ballet Tech School.  Students who are chosen for the program go to the Ballet Tech studios located in Manhattan.  For five weeks students participate in an introductory ballet class. Here they learn the structure of a ballet class, discipline and basic steps.  Students participate in exercises at the barre, center and traveling across the floor.  Each child in the program is provided with the proper ballet attire such as leotards, tights, shirts, pants and shoes.  During this five week session students are assessed on their discipline, ability and interest to continue training.  If students achieve all the following they can then be selected to continue with further training.  At the end of each session parents of the children are invited to a sharing to see what each child is learning in the class.  At the sharing students run through the exercises they learned and show off their progress through the program.
